A very nice Medal - Indian Mutiny 1857 1858 - with clasps for Relief of Lucknow & Delhi.With research. 75th Regiment of Foot - Raised by the East India Company for service in India. It served in South Africa in the first Kaffir War in in 1835 & stayed there until 1843.The regiment was based in Ireland for a time after that. It was sent back to India in 1849.Pte Thomas Kelly. Irishman from Kilgarvan (born 1828), Castlerea, Co Roscomman.Enlisted in 1846, discharged 1868.
