Up for bid is this pretty nice Indian War / Spanish American War era canteen. I think it is from the post War Between the States, but before the late 1890's but I'm not 100% sure on that so you be the judge please. Anyways, it came with the leather strap you see in the first image but it is so beat, I almost tossed it out but thought some of y'all may what it. It's flaking and weak, but it's included. The body may have a couple of small dents / impression, I'm not sure, it's hard to tell but they may be there. I'm trying to disclose all I notice so no one will be disappointed. The cover is solid and nice but it's rather dirty as you can see. I did not notice it at first but there is "U.S." printed on one side. Stopper cork and chain seem fine, photos show it pretty well I think. ONE PENNY Opening Bid, so someone wins! See the pics, they should tell the story from here - ...over 16 years here with only the best stuff I can find. Uncleaned and untouched is my goal - once that is done, it's done for good, so I leave things as I find them. I want everyone happy, so let me know if you have an issue.
