An issued MkVII gas mask bag. This type of bag was developed by the British in World War I and was also famously used by Indiana Jones in the series of films. This bag is marked Mark VII CBC 942 with the broad arrow mark and 41 (41 is probably an inspection mark). Really nice condition for the age, good green colour saturation, only a few aged dirt marks, flexible and strong material. The original strap is in place, a fulll conversion to an Indiana Jones bag would need a leather strap to be added. I have shown the bag open, so that the rear pocket can be seen. This would normally be 2 slim flat pockets, but the seam has been carefully and neatly cut to make a more usable large flat pocket. So the bags has a flat pocket front and rear, and the middle section divided 2. These bags are excellently strong and durable. They are a favorite among fly fishers and more latterly as grunge camoflage for the smaller types of laptop computer. The inside arrangement of pockets being useful for all the small bits of equipment. Post to Europe £5.00 - to USA or Canada £7.00
