I have been intrigued, infatuated, spellbound by vintage paper ephemera for as long as I can remember, and have reluctantly agreed, (with the gentle persuasion of my better half, who claims we have become "overwhelmed, obsessed, and addicted"), to start thinning out our grand collection (as part of my "rehab", so I won't have to "quit cold turkey"). This offering is for one such lot of 8 vintage paper pieces. This grouping has an historic theme, and includes great vintage business and personal correspondence items associated with areas in Indiana, USA. Perfect for scrapbooking, altered art projects, ACEO, mixed media themes, collages, crafts, and collecting! The lot dates from 1868 to 1949, and includes the following: Tax Receipt; dated Feb 3, 1868, from Treasurer's Office, Greensburg, Decatur County, Indiana; for 1866 delinquent taxes of $6.58, which were paid by Alexander Graham, received of D & C Shaw, for NW 1/4 SW 1/4 Section 1 Town 9 Range 10, 40 acres; signed by Wm. Miller, Treasurer; measures approx 4" by 8", and in fair to good condition, very readable, with folds and starting to wear along creases, with separation at center Tax Receipt; dated April 18, 1871, from Treasurer's Office, Greensburgh (note different spelling from above), Decatur County, Indiana; in the amount of $6.85, taxes paid in full for "State, County, read more
