Indo Persian Horseman's Axe 19th Century Beautiful and strong warriors fighting axe. Very well forged all steel, tough construction, solid, unusual shape axe. The long shaft appears to be pattern welding Damascus steel, could be the original shaft or perhaps replaced a very long time ago using the an old Damascus gun barrel, hard to say. The axe is in very good stable condition. Some rust and pitting exist throughout the entire piece. Very attractive old weapon. Total length 35 1/2" Axe blade length 3 " Axe head height 4 1/2'
