The Indus Valley Civilization (3000-1500 BC was established circa 2600-1900 BC) was an ancient civilization in the Indus and Ghaggar-Hakra river valleys which is now Pakistan and also north western India and parts of Afghanistan and Turkmenistan . This Nal Baluchistan bowl with three elongated animals in a walking position. The animals have striped bodies and are painted black. They are separated by a wide pattern, with a zig zag pattern at the top. Constructed from buff coloured terracotta the motifs are encased within two bands top and bottom of the bowl. Good condition has been restored. 91.45 mm High 82.36 mm Top opening Weight 299 grams . In time Indus Valley pottery will increase in value, at the present moment it is reasonable, and in many cases lower priced than modern f pottery.
