Amazing! Artistic Modern Contemporary Chrome Frosted Glass Table This auction is for a uniquie, custom and one-of-a-kind chrome and glass dining table. I purchased this from an estate sale some years ago and have never seen anything else like it before or since. The legs are made of metal and molded in a curvaceous Queen Anne style but given a very modern twist with the chrome plating. It also has a chromed metal frame that the legs attach to and a solid 1/2" polished edge frosted glass placed atop. I've used this table as a desk and dining table and its been just wonderful. I hate to let this one go, but I really need the room and we rarely use a formal dining room these days. As for the chrome plated HUDSON chairs, sorry - can't quite give those up. Chairs and centerpiece NOT INCLUDED in this auction . This table would work well with modern /mid-century /eclectic / hollywood regency / or contemporary home decor. The chrome will need some polishing and on both the frame & the legs as t are signs of wear due to the age. It would look even more fabulous if it were re-plated but I'll leave that to the winning bidder. I always meant to do this, but never got around to it. T are some surface scratches to the legs, but they all appear to be in the chrome and not too deep at all - as it is metal underneath. The top of the frame problably shows the most wear and appears to have lost some of the shinyness to the chrome. The orignal glass was a dark bronze glass that wasn't pretty opaque and I never noticed it until I replaced the glass with the frosted. I've used it as-is for years and everyone receive numerous compliments regardless. This is a large, heavy item and will need to go frieght. I can detach the legs to get it all in on box if you'd like, but reattaching the legs will be tricky as the hardware is not easy to get to. I've found that plycon seems to be the most economical.
