The E. Ingraham Clock Company in Bristol, Connecticut produced a line of mantle clocks which included this handsome piece that they named the "DORIC". The sharp Gothic design of the top of the case blends with round door glasses including concentric Gold-leafed circles on the lower glass inside of which is a colorful flower. The paper label inside the case is in excellent condition and retains the Ingraham name as well as their designation of this style as the DORIC. The eight-day brass movement has been professionally cleaned asnd serviced and runs and strikes the hours properly. After 125 years, the amount of aging on the original dial is to be expected and better than most. Priced well for a good purchase by the clock's future owner.
