Ingraham & Co. Bristol, Conn., 30-hour time and strike mantle clock, Doric model, 16" high, with Mosaic front, pat'd June 6, 1871, Elias Ingraham patent, Sept. 3, 1861, renewed Sept. 3,1863, also patented Mar. 30, 1869. Round glass panel has NY fountain gilt tablet with no gilt flaking but a bit of loss of the outer color band around the gilt. Intact rosewood veneer has been prepared for refinishing by previous owner. Paper dial is soiled but intact. Supplied with original key. Clock ran well, sounding the hour with deep, room-filling gongs. The half-hour chime is a bit touchy. Could use adjustment. Overall a fine clock in decent condition but could use a thorough cleaning and adjustment.
I misjudged shipping cost, so clock will be sent by parcel post. I misjudged shipping cost, so clock will be sent by parcel post.
