Add me to your favorites list. I have many Sessions , Seth Thomas and Ingraham black mantel clocks in various stages of restoration. Ingraham Clocks Elias Ingrahm was born in Conn. Oct 1, 1805. In 1828 Mr. Ingraham entered the clock business, manufacturing clock cases for such firms as C.&L. Ives. The Ingrahams family manufacted clocks and or watches until Sept. of 1967. This Ingraham Black Mantle Clock stands an impressive 10" high, is approx. 16" wide and 6.5" in depth. Made by American clockmaker Ingrahams in Bristol, Conn., and dated to approx. the 1890s. W ith a beautiful black finish, and stylish bronze & adamantine green marblized trimmed case. This clock, standing on handsome gilded feet, features a wonderful columned portcolio, and a very early and very rare brass fancy gilt bezel and dial pan. The fancy gilt bezel was only used, very early on, on the top of the line clocks such as this one. Ingraham, with this clock, has produced one of the most pleasing and impressive of the Black Mantel designs. Showing a truly Great Clockmaker's attention to detail, quality, design , bearing testament to Ingraham's great attention to detail. The clocks superior and reliable American brass movement is clearly stamped "Ingraham". and shows a very distinctive quality that compliments it's superior case.
