This auction is for a very unusual Inherited RARE 6-panel Handpainted and Glazed Chinese Screen. Each panel depicts the daily life of two beautiful Chinese women, in various places and activities! Each panel is signed by the Artist and has other words that I cannot translate--I was told it has the title and date but because I do not know the language, I cannot honestly tell you what each panel reads. Each frame is connected by hinges so that you can make it flat or bent into whatever display you prefer. Each frame is 8 inches tall from top to ornate carved fancy bottom (see photos), the actual panel inside the frame is 6.5 inches tall and 3.5 inches wide--stamped on the back of each panel is: China Made in China and a pattern of rectangles and squares and large Circle with a large Triangle in the center. It is nice and heavy, not thin or fragile at all and the frame is extremely protective of each panel. It is just a gorgeous One-of-a-Kind Piece, in gorgeous Vintage Condition--no chips, cracks, peeling, nothing! This unusual screen was inherited from my Great Grandma. She absolutely loved collecting items from all over the world and admired the beauty and craftsmanship of Handpainted Asian Art! Very Beautiful piece! I haven't a clue what this is worth, nor do I know w she purchased it, but I do know that both she and my Great Grandpa traveled very extensively throughout the world.
