PLUS 4to pamphlet in paper wraps, Report of Ancient Ruins Examined in 1875 and 1877 by William H. Jackson, pp. 409-450, three folding plates, one large folding map, 10 black and white lithographic plates, inscribed on the cover Compliments of Sheldon Jackson Department of the Interior, USGS, Extracted from the Tenth Annual Report of the Survey for the Year 1876. Washington. G.P.O. An important first hand account of the ruins in Chaco Canyon, New Mexico, illustrated with drawing made on the spot by Jackson himself, while employed as the official photographer for the Hayden Expedition. Sheldon Jackson (1834-1904) was a noted Alaskan Missionary. PLUS two issues of The Colorado Magazine, 3(1), 1926 and 15(6), 1938, each with an article written by Jackson and illustrated with his photographs.
