Breathtaking Papilio ulysses!! Wynlyn Wings presents this breathtakingly beautiful Papilio ulysses or commonly called the Mountain Blue Swallowtail Butterfly which is native to Papua New Guinea and surrounding islands. One interesting note about this species is that it can be attracted to almost any blue object placed up to 30 metres away on the edge of the rainforest. The extreme blue colour of this species is most attractive and changes intensity and hue depending upon the lighting conditions. This specimen is mounted in a solid oak double glass shadow box frame. We have specifically chosen natural oak to showcase this specimen as the natural colours of the specimen are fully realized in this type of frame. The frame size is 6.75 inches high by 6.75 inches high and 1.75 inches deep. Our handcrafted frames are customized to the specific specimen being displayed. These natural wood frames are lacquered to seal the wood and every attention is given to minute detail. We believe a simple design in best to show off these magnificent insects. Frames can be mounted on walls or set up as stand alone items on shelves, etc. Dried specimens mounted in our frames will last for an eternity and require no maintenance making them prefect for display in fine restaurants, office buildings or in your own private collection.
