is a really nice group of George McGovern pinback buttons.
This group includes fifteen different buttons which are all in excellent condition, though some have very light corrosion on the back. This does not detract from the appearance of this good group. They were all issued for McGovern's losing run against Richard Nixon in 1972. Several of these buttons are seldom offered and fairly hard to find. T are some nice jugates including a couple with short term running mate Thomas Eagleton. These are all celluloid type buttons except the large one with the eagle on top which is made of plastic. The largest are 2 1/4" in diameter and the smallest are 1 1/4" in diameter. Several are marked on the curl with the makers name, including one Bristow.
