This is an interesting item. It appears to be the school book of a young German musician from Baltimore. The cover has the name of the student and is dated 1845 (for some reason the year 1832 is written in pencil under the ink writing). All of the writing in the book is in German so I do not know what it says. Most of the book is filled with musical staff and notation. There is a total of 37 pages, 32 of which have writing on them. The last 5 pages have the word "Register" at the top and lists organized under different letters. I don't know exactly what the context is but I am sure someone does.
