This is an interesting bronze of the 19th century English soldier. A lot of our bronzes are from a recent house clearance. The owner was an avid collector of bronzes from the 18th, 19th and later centuries. This included figurines of militaria, art deco, art nouveau, animals and classical. With lots of negotiations with the executors of the estate we were able to purchase the entire collection. We also obtain bronzes from other sources, within the uk and from other European sources. This is an interesting bronze of the standing 19th century English soldier. Portrayed in full uniform with the busby hat in a standing posture with a rifle. Mounted on a bronze base which itself is mounted onto a marble base. The overall height is about 13inches. Base size is about 4inches square. Inscribed to bronze base: Wade. Condtion is very good with no blemishes. Besides being a very collectable classical bronze of the English soldier, would also look fabulous displayed.
