International Sterling Pitcher (Jug, Carafe) with Lid and Strainer. Pattern #174, 3 Pints. Simple, classic design with pretty extra touches. 11.25" tall with lid, 3.75" diameter at mouth, 3" diameter at base, 6.25" wide from spout to back of handle. Lovely strainer inside just below spout, subtle flare at end of handle. Lid fits well, but cork is eroding and something inside rattles. ADDED 11/24: Dent in lip of spout - noticeable but does not prevent lid from sitting correctly or spout from pouring appropriately. This piece was obviously wrapped in something that left tarnish marks, but after a quick once over with Wright's Silver Polish most of these marks had disappeared or were significantly diminished. T are still tarnished areas , as well as the occasional ding or scratch from years of use. A professional cleaning may improve the finish even more. Thisitem is from a family member's estate, and I am not an expert by any means, butI have done significant research to appropriately represent it.
