You are bidding on an International Valencia sterling flatware set (55 pieces) with fitted walnut case. T are no monograms. T are 8 complete place settings of 4 pieces each, additional pieces, plus 8 serving pieces. Place settings include: 9 knives, 8 dinner forks, 9 salad forks, 17 teaspoons, 4 individual butter knives. Serving pieces include: 1 large butter knife, 1 sugar spoon, 1 ladle, 1 casserole spoon, 1 large serving spoon, 1 large slotted spoon, 1 meat fork, 1 small slotted (bon-bon or nut) spoon. I purchased this set in November, 1968. It's only been used a few times and is in excellent, like-new condition. Appraised by an antique dealer (no papers) at $1600.00. Slight fraying on inside case fabric liner, a few minor scratches on the outside, otherwise the case is in excellent condition as well.
