Up for auction, is a beautiful beaded stuffed turtle fetish I acquired from New Mexico. He is hand made with dark green, yellow, red, white, dark blue and light blue beads on leather. All the beads are tight, other than the 8 strands that make up his face. These are sewn tight on each side of his face in a row, but are not as tight as his body. Though they are not in fear of coming apart. None of the beads seem to be missing. This is an older piece, so the leather is worn and does need some cleaning. You can see w he was sewn on his belly. Please note picture. The legs are made up of leather straps wrapped in metal sleeves, with light blue beads at each end by his body. His tail seems to be permanently bent downward. He measures roughly 4 1/4", from head to tail, X 4 3/4" wide from leg to leg, 2 3/8" wide on just his body. This n ice piece will make a great addition to anyone's collection.
