This is an intricately engraved headrest from Ethiopia . Has very good patina. In good condition. The form is elegant and well balanced. The base looks like two skirts, a top layer and an underneath petticoat. The patina is well developed. The surface of the wood is soft throughout. There are beautiful fine worn wood rings at the top that add natural design and texture. There is minor distress at the top edge. One hairline at the base. In good condition.
