Outstanding walrus ivory kayak carving Description: This is one beautiful well made piece. This kayak has the art work and character of the late 40s and early 50s look. Can't say enough about this gorgeous piece. SIGNED: VINCE PIKONGANNA. Culture: Inupiaq and king island. He currently resides in Nome. Yupik Tribe: Inupiaq. Hair line crack on the left sholder of the Eskimo. You are bidding on a Beautiful vintage Alaskan Eskimo walrus ivory tusk carving. This piece is wonderfully carved and set to have just the right look of nature. The artist was sensitive enough to notice and create the gentleness and respected distinctions of this piece.
