IRISH BELLEEK PARIAN CHINA 1926 RARE BELLEEK 3rd MARK BLACK LABEL I have come up with yet another delightful Collectible surprise for you to bid on. This is a handsome mid-20th century IRISH BELLEEK TABLE CELERY SALT or CARDIUM TABLE SALT. , beautifully and carefully hand painted and heavily glazed, made in IRELAND by the BELLEEK Pottery and Fine China Factory in the FERMANAGH LAKELANDS OF IRELAND. Irish Belleek Parian China dates from 1857 and, over the many years has received world wide recognition for it's consistant high quality Egg Shell Delicacy, with the Translucent Ivory Tint of Parian China. This is a delightful HAND PAINTED and GLAZED large family table size Vegetable Salt Cellar. It follows the old English desire and craving for salt on everything with the dinner meal, and they had a variety of styles and sizes for the salt containers. The size of this piece is 5.5" long, and 3.25" wide. The mark on this table piece dates to the 6th Belleek Mark, 1965 March 31, 1980, and is probably the most frequently seen popular mark on Belleek items today. This wonderful large table size Salt is fully illustarted in color on page 65 of the old Belleek Catalogue "AN ILLUSTRATED GUIDE TO IRISH BELLEEK PARIAN CHINA" reprinted in 1969, and further illustrated on page 17 of a lesser Belleek catologue, and again illustrated on page 12
