First Green or Fourth Mark - 1946-1955 The Pottery resumed full production in 1946 In tests carried out on backstamps, green was felt to be less obtrusive than black at showing through the translucent China and thus it was decided to change the color from black to green. The mark is identical to its predecessor in every way except the color.I'm selling this teapot for a dear friend of mine and she has given me this history in regards to the Belleek Teapot: "This Belleek Teapot is in mint condition (never used). This lovely vintage teapot in shamrock pattern made by Belleek Pottery of Ireland. I received this teapot as a wedding gift sixty years ago." Thank you for viewing my auction and good luck bidding. I will be posting more individual pieces from this set. I will also offer combined shipping. If you win more than one auction please allow me time to send you a new invoice. The diameter of the opening is 2.75 inches, and the outside edge of the spout to the outside edge of the handle is 8 inches.
