Up for bid in this auction is the absolutely precious Irish Dresden figurine named âeoeJasmineâe. Jasmine strikes the most darling coy pose you can imagine. Her face is exquisite and you can see her blushing. She is a young blonde-haired girl and she wears her hair in two ponytails with lavender lace bows on each. Her dress is white with lavender sleeves, ruffles and matching hat. The hat has three pink and yellow flowers on the back side of the brim. T are yellow and pink flowers atop the layers of the skirt. The main part of her dress has multi-colored flowers hand-painted on a white background. Her shoes are bright pink with little matching lavender bows made of the Dresden lace. She stands on a base adorned with pink and yellow flowers. Donâe(tm)t miss out on this little cutie! The figurine measures about 4 ¾âeoe tall, 3 ½âe wide, and 2 ½âe deep. This Irish Dresden figurine is from my personal collection (which I am downsizing) and has been kept in a dust-free china cabinet. T are no breaks, cracks or chips. She is just perfect. About Irish Dresden: The process of making Irish Dresden was first discovered in the ancient town of Messier near Dresden in Germany in the early 18th Century. In the late 19th Century Anton Muller, a talented young artist, established a workshop in Volkstedt and quickly gained a reputation for his fine lace figurines. Following the Second World War, family members were forced to leave what was then East Germany and the current Irish Dresden company was established at Dromcolliher, County Limerick establishing in Ireland the traditions and skills of fine lace porcelain manufacture. Today Irish Dresden is revered throughout the world for the skilled craftsmanship and uniqueness of its figurines. Real Cotton lace impregnated with porcelain clay is used to dress the figurines and hand made porcelain flowers or other decorations are added. They are then glazed and each piece is hand painted by craftsmen.
