This is a replica wrought from Irish turf, of the penal Crucifixes which were made at Lough Derg, County Donegal, Ireland during the penal days. The Crucifixes were sold to pilgrims who carried them during their visit to St. Patrick's Purgatory and were afterwards cherished as a souvenir of their pilgrimage.The cross is carved from a solid piece of wood and measures 9" X 3".This item is NEW and still in its original box and contains all the original paperwork including a diagram noting all the symbolism carved into the Crucifix.NOTE: I am offering FREE SHIPPING to any "Buy It Now" Bidder.
