Iron Horse Lamp For you bidding consideration is this nice, "Iron Horse" Parlor Light Formerly a true, vintage oil lamp, a nice electrification socket was installed at some time which has the neat feature of a night light in the old oil reservoir! One click of the key switch turns on the main light. Second click and the main light goes off and the night light comes on! Third click and both lights are on! The white opal glass shade is original. Not a reproduction piece. The smoke bell is solid brass and is the smallest little smoke bell I've ever seen! T is approx. 6 feet of chain and over 12 feet of black wire terminating in a vintage Bakelite plug. It can very easily hung like a swag or with a few parts from the hardward store, be installed from a ceiling outlet. This lamp has no evidence of ever having all the raise-lower chains and spring motor that some Iron Horse lights have. It makes this one much more able to blend into not only an old-fashioned decor, but a more contemporary decor as well without all the trappings and chains. And if you really want the authentic look an old old burner and wick could be easily installed!
