Colonial Rack With 4 Hooks, Hand Forged Iron, Country Kitchen, Blacksmith Made Colonial Kitchen Rack, 4 Hooks, Hand Forged Iron, Blacksmith Made This is a really nice decorative rack and hook set that I made on my coal fired forge in upper East Tennessee . This would be great to use in your kitchen to hang pots, utensils, or herbs on. Or use it in your entryway for a coat rack. The rack is made from 1" x 3/16" iron and is @ 24" long with two holes pre-drilled on each end for mounting. It extends @ 2" away from the wall. The edges are slightly beveled from hammer blows and the ends are textured by cross peen hammer strikes. There are 4 hooks that were hand forged from 1/4" square iron included with the set. The hooks hang over the rack. They are @ 3" tall. I will finish this set with clear lacquer, or on request with a traditional beeswax finish while hot to seal and protect the metal and provide a beautiful natural finish that can be buffed to a nice shine. This set is entirely hand made using the same tools and techniqes used by generations of American Blacksmiths. If you love antique or period ironwork, then you will love this rack and hooks.
