Great pair of bronze bookends of "The Iron Men Of Hendy". From what I could find on the internet, The Iron Men Of Hendy" were founded in 1856 by Joshua Hendy. They produced mining equipment used all over the world from Alaska to Africa. They also produced heavy machinery and metal castings. The Iron Men Of Hendy also assumed critical roles in the war efforts of both WWI and WWII. Their Sunnyvale, Ca. operations supplied Westinghouse Electric and Northrup Grumman. In Sunnyvale, Ca. the building was named "National Historic Mechanical Engineering Landmark". T is much more info on the internet about these great guys and the company! Wonderful 3 dimensional muscular man pouring molten iron into mold. These bookends weigh 10 lbs before packing! Each measures app. 4" wide, 5 3/4" tall, and 2 3/4" deep. Wonderful aged patina. These will fit nicely in the USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate Box for $10.45, which includes Delivery Confirmation. Please email me with any questions before bidding. Thanks for looking!
