We are currently offering a selection of 20 authentic and antique snuff bottles all coming from the same Viennese estate. Every snuff bottle from this collection was bought before 1987 and the entire selection is offered now with NO RESERVE! comes a highly appealing porcelain snuff bottle boasting very fine hand painting in gold and iron red over the glaze. The two main sides either show a court lady or a musician. The neck, shoulders and narrow sides are decorated with floral ornaments. COUNTRY OF ORIGIN: China.
DATE: Qianlong period (1736 - 1795).
MATERIAL: Porcelain. Green glass stopper. Spoon made of bone (loose).
MANUFACTURING TECHNIQUE: Very fine hand painting in iron red & gold over the glaze.
CONDITION: Very good ORIGINAL as found condition with some abrasions - mainly to the gold paint. NO RESTORATION! Please wait for all of the pictures to load as they show the condition very well. This highly appealing porcelain snuff bottle is meticulously hand painted over the glaze in gold and iron red. One show side is adorned with the portrayal of a pretty court lady whilst the other shows a young musician playing the flute.
The cylindrical neck is slightly flared and shows a gold rim on the top and the stand is indented. The stopper is made of green glass in imitation of Jade.
