Up for bid is a Blue Transfer Cleopatra Coffee Pot manufactured by Francis Morley & Co.. Francis Morley & Co manufactured china in Shelton Township, Staffordshire, England between 1845-58. The Coffee Pot measures 9 1/2" tall and 10 1/2" wide from handle to spout. The pattern is beautifully detailed in an Egyptian theme with Cleopatra's needle, arched pillars, pyramid, fronds and flowers. The beautiful details feature hand painted clobbering, or decorative over painting, in shades of yellow, green and red.The condition is excellent without cracks, chips or crazing. Very rare to find a mid 19th century coffee or teapot without chips on the spout or around the lid but this is one. Great addition to any antique porcelain collection.
