Offered is this Antique Staffordshire Ironstone Davenport Cyprus Transferware Small Platter. I am not sure if the color is mulberry or black since I have seen it listed as both. The platter dates to 1848 from the imprinted Davenport anchor with a 48 mark.The platter measures 10 1/4" X 8 3/4". It is in excellent overall condition for it's age. It has a couple of tiny glaze pops on the rim which are not noticeable unless looking closely. It has a small chip on the rim on the back of the platter. It has some darkened crazing which can be mostly seen from the back. Certainly not bad for a piece of this age.This platter came from the estate of the grandmother of a long time friend of mine.
