You are bidding on ISIS #1 CGC graded 9.6 NM+ with perfect white pages. Based on the popular CBS TV series, ISIS has always had a loyal following. This is the second best condition on the CGC census and with perfect white pages, this is the best 9.6 that you can purchase. There are only 12 copies graded slightly better at 9.8. Denny O'Neil does the writing on this issue while Rick Estrada and the legendary Wally Wood handle the art. Are you tired of all the decent books on eBay only running as “Buy It Now” auctions – invariably at prices 50 to 100% higher than the normal selling price? During the next several weeks I will be running real auctions. My reserve price is the opening bid. The opening bid is seldom more than one-half the average selling price of the book. If there is a Buy It Now option, that price is representative of the normal selling price of the book, not some ridiculous over priced amount. The Buy It Now option disappears after the first bid – so if you are interested in purchasing the book at a fair price and don’t want to wait for the auction to close - perhaps losing the auction to another bidder by a couple of dollars in the last few seconds - consider taking advantage of this option while it is available. SHIPPING : Shipping is $8.00 for the first professionally graded (CGC/PGX) comic and $1.50 for each additional graded comic to anywhere in the USA . Books will be well packaged and shipped in a sturdy box via Priority Mail. Shipping charges include delivery confirmation on shipments worth $50 or less and insurance on shipments valued over $50. . If purchasing more than one book from the auction, please wait for an invoice in which I will combine shipping to save you money. If purchasing more than one book using “Buy It Now” you will need to pay the full amount on each book to complete the purchase. I will ship the books together and send you a partial refund for the combined shipping. FOREIGN ORDERS : I will only ship to other countries that offer adequate amounts of insurance coverage to be purchased. This would include Canada , Australia , United Kingdom and most of Western Europe . Shipping to other countries can be quite expensive ($25-$50 or more) as there is no “ground” rate. Insurance is often available only on more expensive services. The actual shipping charges including insurance will be charged for purchases outside the USA . RETURNS : I want you to be happy with your purchase. Unlike most other sellers, you can return any books purchased from me – including CGC/PGX graded books – within seven days of receipt. Items must be returned in the same condition as sent and return shipping charges are the responsibility of the buyer. I package carefully and insure items for what they are worth – if returning something do the same. CGC & PGX GRADING : There has been lots of discussion – often passionate- about which grading service is “best” for having comic books professionally graded and slabbed. The question that should be asked is “best for what?” Coins and Sportscards both have four well known grading services so competition in comic book grading should be expected. I have submitted books to both services and I’ve submitted a number of books for “cross grading”. The results (that is the grades) are usually close and the holders seem of equal quality. PGX is less expensive but their books often (but not always) sell for less - thus making them a valid choice for slabbing less expensive books. CGC is better known and trusted and books graded by CGC often bring higher prices when sold, more than making up the increased cost of grading - especially on more expensive items.
