Rare Isle of Wight 'Seaweed' Trial Vase - signed & dated by Timothy Harris Description: Designed, made, signed and dated by Timothy Harris of Isle of Wight Studio Glass.This auction is for a very rare trial piece - most likely a one off in this colouring - known as the 'Seaweed' vase. Formerly kept in the 'museum cabinet' at the Isle of Wight Studio Glass premises until liquidation meant it had to be sold.This is a stunning design - in total I counted 5 different shades of green, plus turquoise - with gold leaf liberally added to create a flowing, shimmering underwater scene in glass.Measures 6.75" high by 3" diameter (17cm x 7.5cm)On the base is 'Trial' then Timothy's hand etched signature, plus 'Isle of Wight Glass England' and date year 2012.Has gold label and comes in original box.In mint condition.Isle of Wight Studio Glass is now in liquidation.Please see photos above for a more visual description.Thanks for looking.
