INLAID WOOD MARQUETRY TABLE MUSIC BOX. Nice, Nice, Nice. A very pretty Italian Style Made fancy table/music box. There is an "S" on the music box wind up handle and I assume that means that it is a Swiss Musical Movement. I wouldn't think that a quality made Italian piece would use anything less. The table stands about 17" tall. The top measures approx. 14 5/8" long by approx.10 3/4" wide. The top has a wonderful design on it with some real Italian craftsmanship. There are some small imperfections in the clear as pictured. They are barely noticeable and the top is very shiny. The four legs and around the box have a gold pin stripe. There is normal wear on the corners. The hinge and the clasp are both working. The working music box plays "Dr. Zhivago". The compartment wall on the inside in the middle is separating from the other and needs white glue and it will hold as pictured. The bottom has some few inch splits or checking in the wood but it's underneath and not seen when displayed. Photo inside dated 1999. Back of photo reads "Jewelry box plays Zivago, Louis XV style inlaid mahogany music box c 20th Century, value $100 to $200. Top 13 1/2" x 10 1/2", 17" high, to lifts and has compartments, lock, music plays Dr. Zhivago". A real nice looking piece of furniture. Buyer pays for shipping & handling. Thank you.
