Good day! Today, I have a Italian Burl Wood Jewelry Box with Romance Rouge Swiss Made Music.This is an extremely well made musical jewelry box in the finest used condition! This sizable box measures 12" by 8" by 5' high. When the lid is lifted, the music box plays "Swan Lake" and sounds beautiful! The box itself is burl wood that has ben hand crafted; being cut to match the lid top wood grain to the bottom box wood grain. The box can be secured with its original tasseled entrance key. Opening the hinged lid reveals a taupe colored velvet lined box with a separate removable insert. There is plenty of space for various jewelry pieces throughout! A glass window encases the precision Swiss musical player. The music box key wind is located on the box underside. I believe this was an expensive item, which came from Carson Pirie Scott in Chicago. There was a saved price tag located inside this box, which I took a picture of, and will be sending to the next owner.
