Murano Glass Decanter Set

Up for auction is this authentic hand blow hand painted Murano Amber Glass Decanter Set. Created on the Island of Murano at the Murano Glass Factory just outside of Venice , Italy , this Decanter has a set of 6 matching glasses. Both the decanter and each amber glass have a gold overlay and are hand painted with beautiful white flowers.

The decanter has inscribed on its bottom: the original owners names and date purchased, April 30, 1994, and the saying, "lav a mano", which we believe translates into "made by hand". Also painted on its side is the word "Stoughulin" which may be the signature of the artist that created this set.

The decanter stands 9 1/2" tall and is approximately 4" across at the widest part.

The glasses measure approximately 3" tall and 2 1/2" across.

This decanter set is in great condition and would make an elegant addition to any glass collection. As with any hand made objects, t are a few very small imperfections, such as bubbles in the glass, however it is those imperfections that add to its elegance and prove that these pieces are hand made.

T are no chips or scratches on this lovely set!

These fragile pieces will be carefully wrapped and double boxed when shipped.
