Please take into full consideration that our starting price in NO way reflects what we have into the items listed. We trust in the ebay system and believe the market will find the right prices for the pieces. We go to great lengths to bring the finest quality on ebay with NO reserves. Many people are astounded at the quality we consistently offer and are repeat buyers. Often times we put collections together just so that you will have a choice within that category.. Please keep an eye out every week for new items I will be listing. This summer/fall we will blow you away with the same fine quality we have been offering, at "No" reserves and our consistent $9.99 start to our auction. In no way does this reflect what we have invested in these items . I am proud to offer a Museum worthy example of the finest and most fantastic Italian Majolica/Maiolical vases I have ever brought to ebay. I have been compelled to offer this through Christies, or one of the other auction houses, and they have seen this and wanted it. However, when I see that it takes up to 6 months to possibly get advertised and into the actual auction. Not to mention another 4 months for your money, I decided to bring it to ebay. This is a local estate find. The family had this for generations and it was brought from Italy more than 80 years ago and was an antique then. we have a piece that surely is a museum example. This is the finest Antique Italian Majolica Vase or urn I have ever had the chance to posess. Circa 1850 or possibly older. This is actually "Signed" by the artist. Almost impossible to ever find a signature by the artist on one of these. The work on this is also the most spectacular you will ever possibly find. The vase has an amazing figural Cherub/Sea serpent that measures 16" tall almost like a handle. The vase itself stands a large 36 inches tall with a diameter of 13 inches or a circumfrence of 34". It is hand painted with extreme details and is "Neptune" riding his horses and other Creatures. with amazing scenes completely encircling the vase. The attention to detail is very fine and it is signed on the bottom of the main body of the vase by the artist "Mozzarella" The Expression of the Cherub alone is amazing. A figural Sculpted masterpiece in itself. The feet are that of the mythical creatures one often finds painted on the chargers, plates or vases of this era. You will simply never find an example like this again. T is also a sculpted figural star or moon face coming right off the vase below the feet of the Cherub. The bottom base of the vase has howling individuals either mourning or crying. Very unusual. The spout of the vase or urn is a mythical "Wave" of water coming out of the water and forming a spout, and the cherub is gripping the wave and riding it. Just amazing. The colors are very bright and vivid. T is superb aging of the majolica on this piece. The colors have just stayed tight and clean. This incredible piece originally sat on a mount and it has old fine leather type material that kept it from being damaged by being attached the the lower mount. This mount that is no longer around had one of the earlier Ginori marks, and dated to this period or earlier. The family had this all written down. The bottom has all the signs of marking on the footing. This sits tought and straight on the ground. No wabbling. Completely balanced. The hand painted scenes are just incredible and I have taken many more photos if you would like to see more. Appraised for many many thousands of dollars. Just write me and I will send you them all. The vase is in absolutely superb condition with no chips or cracks I can find. It was kept in a large corner of the master bedroom for years. T is a superb face like a sun below the feet of the cherub. It has a great nose and chin. Both of these came off at one time and they were attached. Completely all t, and that's saying a lot. Means nothing and I mention for accuracy. This will not be cheap to ship to Europe, and around $60.00 to ship within the US. I b...
