Up for auction is a beautiful Italian majolica teapot. The pot is covered with a cobalt blue glaze. The glaze is covered with white leaf and flower designs, one of which has the face of a woman in it. The handle is composed of two green spotted serpents that coil up and around from the back and end with their heads attached to the top of the pot.

The pot is free of cracks and repairs. T is a small area at the base of the spout end were the glaze has been knocked off but this is not very noticeable. One of the 2 ears used to hold on the cover is chipped but still functional.

The teapot about 4 3/4" tall to the top of the knob on the cover. Not counting the serpants and the spout the pot is 4" in diameter. The overall length from handle to spout is 7 3/4"

The bottom is marked but I am not sure exactly what the makers name is .
