PLEASE NOTE: I HAVE ADDED NEW PICTURES OF THE LACE, I HOPE THAT IT HELPS MAKE THE CONDITION OF THE TABLECLOTH CLEARER.
A wonderful large antique Lace tablecloth that measures about 10 feet 9 inches in length by 4 feet and 8 inches across ... the tablecloth is handmade bobbin lace ... two lace experts have advised me about this piece ... recently one of the experts advised me that it is from Milan, Italy ... the details are amazing, t are men with bows and arrows that remind me of a mythological character, cherubs, a maiden reaching up to a dove, deer, swans, storks, trees and flowers ... it does need conservation, it has stains that look like tea (not rust) and needs to be repaired in places, t are no large tears or huge gaping holes ... the lace is strong but was not stored properly ... I am selling this as is ... a great item to restore and repair for a collector ... pictures really do not depict how much work went into this piece and how detailed the lace is ... please feel free to ask questions!
