Firstly, I have to confess I know nothing about antiques and, in fact, am not even sure it is an antique. All I know is, it is really beautiful, and has the name Palladio etched into the wood - also, Handcrafted in Italy, and an R under that. All this is in a little frame-like etching. I will try to take a picture of it, but it is very light and I doubt if it will show up. -The wrist and hand are separate from the part just above the wrist - it actually looks as if it was cut in half. It fits together perfectly, so it could be made one piece again very easily, but if so, it will not stand by itself. The wrist and piece above have gilt on them, which is pretty much worn off. It is supposed to be a very fancy piece of clothing, obviously. The hand is wood, with a gilt ring on the little finger. It looks as if the finger was broken and repaired at one time. The carving is very delicately done, I think, but I am no expert. On the above-wrist piece is an old sticker with some writing on it, but it is not legible. There are also 2 holes in that piece which had 2 screws in them, which I removed and also a little piece of wood is broken off. It definitely seems like an expensive antique to me, but since I don't know I am putting it up for auction starting at an incredibly reasonable price. Thank you for looking.
