This offering is for a scarce 1988 Italian three piece mint set that commemorated the 900th anniversary of the University of Bologna. Set consists of a brilliant uncirculated 100, 200 and 500 Lire silver coin housed in its original government issued red velour bi-fold holder along with a parchment that highlights the historical information and coin specifications. Of note, there is some light toning on the 100L & 500L coin due to a crack in their surrounding plastic holder. Particulars are: Catalog# MS21 (100L - KM127, 200L - KM128 and 500L - KM129); reeded (100L & 200L) and raised lettered (500L) edge; approximately 28 mm (100L0, 24mm (200L) and 29mm (500L) in diameter; all are 83.5% silver; mintage on set is only 68,000.
