~Italian Porcelain Figurine ~ Spectacular and huge, this is one very beautiful Italian Giuseppe Cappé figural depicting a Muskateer on his horse... this piece has incredible expression, fantastic color, and exquisite modeling... it is A MAZING ! Look at the elation in the beautiful face of the Muskateer and all of the wonderful detail in his costume... the large feathers in his hat, the way his cape billows around him, his big leather swashbuckler boots leaning into the brass metal stirrups, the long sword at his side... and the horse!... the horse's expressive face, his awesome wild mane and tail, the way the veins stand out by his nostrils and in his legs... the horse is so realistic you can almost hear him snorting! ... this is a S TUNNING piece. Very large in size, it measures 16 1/2 " wide by 16" tall by 10 1/4 " deep, and it weighs nearly 13 pounds before packing. The condition is excellent overall: there are just a few tiny tip nicks to some of the pointed edges, the bit in the horses mouth has been repaired and I don't think the reins are original (just the part from the bridle to his hands)--they are a leather-type material and could be a replacement as they don't set in the figures hands like they originally did. All mentioned are very minor and do not affect the display; if you want closeup photos of any area, please email that request. Marked on the base with G.
