IVES “O”? Loco Frame with Motor with Drive Wheels. Frame is heavy cast iron 8 13/16” long tip to tip, and 2 11/16” wide at the stanchion mounting bases on each end. Motor looks to be complete, rotates very freely, has good brushes, and a built-in manual reversing unit. The loose, insulated wires shown in the photos probably went to the headlights in the body (my guess). One of the bottom roller, center-rail pickups, is missing along with its saddle mount. The other one is just fine. Wheels have no visible cracks, but 2 have a couple of small chips in their flanges. These are shallow and most likely are serviceable and would not cause a derailment as they are no more than half of the flange height. The chrome face on 2 of the drive wheels (fortunately, both on the same side) has minor spots and could be displayed effectively, but the other 2 have surface disfiguring. I did not put power to it. I have no idea what body was originally this chassis. It was passed down to me from my father 30 some years ago. I am a postwar AF collector and know nothing about Ives. Also being listed separately along with this are 2 older type, prewar O American Flyer locos (one with ehistle) and several AF and Lionel prewar passenger cars and parts (also from my dad) if I can make the listings fast enough. Please take a look if any of these might interest read more
