Zairois Lady sporting one of the many diffierent hairstyles that the women of Zaire were noted for. Item made from Pre Ban Ivory. Item was hand carved in Kinshasa, Zaire, by one of the most popular local ivory artisans. It is approximately 5" tall.and 2 inches wide, and over 1 and 1/2 inches thick. Please note the intricate detail of the hair style and facial expression. It is posted on a one inch wooden base. It's total weight is 11.2 onces which includes the base. It is in excellent condition. Truely a wonderful work of art. This item is made from pre ban elephant ivory tusk. I have legal possession and am legally permitted to sell. I can only sell this item to bidders in the USA and am only offering it for sell to buyers in the U.S.
