This item up for bids is a Numbered and Awarded Veterans Iwo Jima Medal . This medal was issued to the soldiers who were involved with the Iwo invasion. This medal is number # 0302 . This medal has the Iwo Jima Flag Raising on the front. Is iinscribed D Day Feb 19, 1945 and " Uncommon Valor Common Virtue " . This is a 31 mm coin about 3mm thick. Its cased, full size and in very good condition. The reverse has inscription In Honor of the Iwo Jima Vererans . The date Feb 19, 1945 . This is low numbered medal, authentic and original . The clam style case is in good condition. Also included in this set is a ribbon and lapel pin. The colors in this set are very crisp and well defined. The medal is well detailed and a very impressive looking medal. Suspended by a 12 mm ring it is well centered under the ribbon. Just a very respectable collectable for sure.
