J. R. BURNS TORONTO STONEWARE MERCHANT STYLE CROCK CIRCA 1870. The open mouth crock is from a Toronto potter as Burns was a potter, not a merchant. But this is in the style of merchant crocks. Information on BURNS is in Newland's pottery book. The crock has a great gray salt glaze It is 11" tall and about 7" in diameter at the widest spot in the centre. The small mouth is only 3" in outside diameter. Has two lines of debossing, which is J. R. BURNS / TORONTO. Has a shallow groove on the mouth rim which looks to be a saw cut? It is about 1/8" wide and 1/8" deep. The back, right at the bottom, has a "w" shaped hairline that is about 4" tall. Crock is still good and solid and displays well. Buyer pays postage. Fees No handling or packing fees are charged. Shipping I ship internationally and have no country exclusions. I ship via Canada Post (which transfers over to the USPS or the postal service of your home country when the parcel arrives t Shipping fees (postage) depend on both the WEIGHT of the parcel and the VOLUME of the parcel (length X width X height) AND on the destination. The heavier the parcel and the farther the distance it has to travel, the more it will cost to send it. Please ASK if you want an estimate on the cost of postage for the item you are bidding on. Delivery I DO NOT hold parcels for cheques to clear. I TRUST you so please do uphold my trust in you. Usually parcels are mailed the same day payment arrives (whether it is paypal or a personal cheque). Refunds & Returns Insurance via my post office (Canada Post) is ONLY available on parcels that weigh over one kilogram (2.2 pounds). Items that weigh less than 1 kilogram can be sent by REGISTERED mail (for an additional post office fee of $4.50 within Canada and $9.00 internationally). And, the insurance is ONLY for non-delivery of the parcel (if the parcel is LOST in the mail). Insurance DOES NOT cover breakage. I pack very well and many buyers have said my parcels are "BOMBPROOF"!! If breakage does occur on fruit jars, contact me and usually I can replace them for you and your only cost will be for the postage for the replacement items. If a refund is due, it is immediate via either paypal or with an American Express International Money Order. I ALWAYS leave feedback for EVERY transaction. I rarely leave a negative feedback but I will do it. I bend over backwards to satisfy my customers and to make sure all transactions are completed.
