Welcome to my listing for a Jabba's Palace lego set from the 2012 Star Wars series. This box was stored near the bottom of a stack of other Jabba's Palace lego sets. One end of the box collapsed (resulting in several long creases on two sides) under the weight of the sets above, and the factory seals at that end came loose. They have been carefully reattached with clear glue. The lego pieces were never removed from the box. This awesome playset is no longer in production and not available in stores; it is increasingly hard to find, and would make a wonderful gift for any Star Wars fan or lego enthusiast! It contains 717 pieces, including nine minifigures (the not exactly "mini" Jabba the Hutt, his court jester Salacious B. Crumb, right-hand "man" Bib Fortuna, thuggish Gamorrean Guard, twi'lek dancer Oola, Han Solo frozen in carbonite, Princess Leia posing as the bounty hunter Boushh, Chewbacca, and a B'omarr Monk -- Salacious Crumb and Oola are exclusive to this set), and builds a stylish model of Jabba's palace on the planet Tatooine. As the center of a galaxy-spanning criminal network, this desert fortress is protected by a roof-mounted missile launcher and guard tower mounting surveillance cameras and multiple blaster cannons. Likewise, Jabba has spared no expense in equipping his throne room with all the latest designer accoutrements, including a sliding lounge (concealing a trap door in the floor for the disposal of unwanted guests and amusement of those who remain), frog bowl with sipping straw (don't ask), and wall-mounted carbonite unit containing an infamous smuggler who failed to repay his debts in a timely fashion. Like any self-respecting Hutt, Jabba also retains the "services" of a jester, the Kowakian monkey-lizard Salacious Crumb, and a dancer, the twi'lek slave girl Oola. With so much of Jabba's time occupied by his various diversions, the Hutt's business interests are largely delegated to his personal assistant, a male twi'lek named Bib Fortuna, while a green-skinned, axe-wielding Gamorrean Guard handles public relations. The B'omarr Monk, a human brain encased in the "body" of a BT-16 perimeter droid, is present only to continue his personal journey of spiritual enlightenment and mostly keeps to himself. Now enter Leia Organa, the Alderaanian princess and former Imperial senator who has gained entry to this den of iniquity by the subterfuge of disguising herself as the ruthless bounty hunter Boushh. With thermal detonator in hand, she negotiates for the bounty Jabba has placed on the wookie Chewbacca, making the Hutt an offer he can't refuse. Only after dusk falls on the palace does Leia's true goal become apparent, as she frees Han Solo from the block of frozen carbonite in which he has long been held, a living sculpture serving as a cautionary tale for other scoundrels who might consider taking advantage of Jabba's trusting nature and reneging on their financial obligations. Speaking of trust, dismantling the prized artwork of one's host is no proper way for a guest to behave, and a transgression not likely to go unpunished. While Jabba has his virtues, mercy is not among them, and he views forgiveness as a favor to be exclusively granted post mortem . Barring the timely intervention of a Jedi knight, Leia's reunion with Han may prove to be as short-lived as winter on Tatooine...
