Jack Black Navajo Pottery Sculpture
Signed and Dated 1984 Beautiful Serene Kneeling Woman Lovely figure of a kneeling woman in blue created by Navajo artist Jack Black in 1984, in Sedona, AZ. Each piece was individually molded, sanded and glazed, no two are alike. This one is signed and dated and includes the Jack Black mark, which looks like an 8 with a line running vertically through the center of it. After Jack Black's death in 2002, all of the molds were destroyed. This figure is 11 inches tall and the base is 6 inches by 8 inches. It is in absolutely perfect condition, no chips, cracks, flaws or repairs. A really fine example of this artist's work and a wonderful gracenote to any home. Please note that I am also listing a second Jack Black figure, a seated man, which is quite rare in that most of the artist's subjects were female. For the protection of both the buyer and the seller, insurance will be required on this item. Some Notes on Policy Most items are shipped the next business day after payment, through the U.S. Postal Service, by first class, Priority or media mail, depending on the item. I don't use Parcel Post, or UPS as I've found the handling excessively rough. Except in the most unusual circumstances (i.e. having to crate an especially large or heavy item) I don't charge handling fees. I use new packing materials and plenty of it and employ eBay's postage calculator to estimate shipping fees. Customs slips are filled in with the sales price of the item, and international shipments are always sent by air. Domestic buyers who choose not to insure an item accept the loss as their own should their uninsured package be lost or broken. We want you to be delighted with what you've purchased. If you're not, please get in touch right away and we will work out an acceptable solution for both of us. I much prefer payment by Paypal, though I will accept US postal money orders and cash. International buyers must use Paypal. Please feel free to email me with any questions!
