JACK DANIELS 70TH AND 75TH ANNIVERSARY 750ML WITH HANG TAGS Celebrating 70 years since Jack came back. 70th Anniversary bottle: When Tennessee Prohibition closed the doors to the Jack Daniels Distillery in 1910 ( 10 years before National Prohibition was enacted ), folks in Lynchburg thought that was the end of the distiller. They were wrong. Twenty-eight years later ( 5 years beyond the repeal of National Prohibition ), the Jack Daniels Distillery returned to making whiskey the way Mr. Jack did, now 70 years later they honored the reopening of the distillery in 1938 with something they still make in a dry county. 75th Anniversary bottle: The first step back. Celebrating the 75th anniversary of the 21st Amendment, the repeal of Prohibition. When Prohibition was repealed nationaly 1933, the Jack Daniels Distillery still couldn't start back to making whiskey.Tennesse remained dry for another long 5 years. Of course, that doesn't mean we don't have plenty of reason ro celebrate this 75th anniverary. If not for the national repeal back in 1933, Mr. Jack's distillery wouldn't be up and running today.
