A letter from the distillery,
6 labels and
the envelope they were mailed in dated 1981
The stationary is fabulous fun, it has embossed lettering,
gold seals and is signed by Dan F. Hedrick.
The letter states Mr. Daniel was a ladies man and that
his Belle Of Lincoln brand was a special recipe for ladies.
It says Mr. Daniel didn't keep written records and
so t is little information on the old Jack Daniels label -
a set of 6 reproductions were sent.
The color is very thick on the labels, they are in perfect condition -
just as they were sent over 25 years ago.
Is is not clear to me if they actually used these on special bottles or
make them as keepsakes.
The six labels are:
Green Old N0 7 Lynchburg 3 x 4 3/4 inches
Uncle Jack's Straight Whiskey1906 with a portrait Nashville 3 1/2 x 4 inches
Green Old Sour Mas Jack Daniel Whiskey 1905 Lynchburg 3 x 4 1/2 inches
Jack Daniels Handmade Sour Mash bottled for medicinal use only W.T. & C.D. Gunter Nashville 3 x 4 inches
Gold Fine Old N0 7 Jack Daniel Whiskey W.T. & C.D. Gunter Nashville 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 inches
Gold Belle of Lincoln Straight Whiskey 1906 Nashville 5 x 4 1/2 inches
The envelope is from Lynchburg with a Jack Daniels mailing label and a 15 cent stamp.
These would be great framed, or just fun to have.
